All Your Questions, Answered

How do I book an appointment?
The Beauty Project Salon uses online booking/ texting exclusively. Appointments can be booked directly through our website with the stylist of your choice. You may contact your stylist via text message here. We do not offer walk-in appointments and kindly ask that you do not come into the salon hoping to book in person.
What are your hours?
We are an appointment-only salon. Each stylist sets their own schedule, so hours and availability vary. Please refer to online booking or contact your stylist directly for availability. We are typically here Monday-Saturday 10-5pm.
Can I stop by to purchase products?
Because we are appointment-only, we can’t always accommodate in-person shopping. We recommend checking with your stylist to see if anyone is in that day or shopping through our online store when available.
Where are you located?
The Beauty Project Salon is located in Midtown Reno, Nevada. We have a parking lot you are welcome to park in while you are here though it can be limited at times. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to allow time for parking and to settle in. Please do not leave your car in the lot if you are not in the building. Street parking is close by and typically available too.
How do I contact my stylist?
Each stylist at The Beauty Project Salon operates independently and has their own preferred method of communication. You can find contact details on the Meet Our Stylists page through your stylist’s bio, website, or Instagram. Please respect their chosen contact method.
How much will my service cost?
Most of our stylists use flat-rate or hourly session pricing, which allows for transparency and clarity around cost for the most part. Pricing details are listed in each stylist’s booking menu. For personalized questions or more complex services, please reach out to your stylist directly. You may need to come into the salon for a quote, we cannot quote you a price without seeing your hair in person.
How do I choose the right stylist?
We encourage you to explore our stylists’ bios and portfolios, many of which are shared on Instagram. Choosing a stylist is a personal decision, trust what feels aligned for you. If you’d like guidance, you’re welcome to fill out our match form.

Do you cut children’s hair?
Some stylists at The Beauty Project Salon offer haircuts for children, while others do not. Availability varies by stylist. Please check individual booking menus or contact your stylist directly to see if they are the right fit for your child.
I’m new, what should I book?
If you’re a new client, please book a New Client Haircut Session or a New Client Color Consultation, depending on your needs and stylist you are choosing. Consultations are especially helpful for larger changes or color services. If you are not sure, reach out to the stylist and they will help you.
What is a consultation and do I need one?
A consultation is a dedicated time to talk through your hair goals, history, maintenance expectations, and pricing before committing to a service. Consultations are recommended for new color clients, big transformations, or anytime you want clarity before booking. Some of our stylists require dedicated time on all new guest appointments, while other stylists include it.

I’m an existing client, what should I book?
If you’re unsure which service to book, your stylist is the best person to guide you. Please reach out to them directly for recommendations.

We generally recommend arriving with clean, dry hair, worn how you normally style it. Your stylist may provide additional guidance prior to your appointment.
I love my hair! How can I show appreciation?
We’re so happy you love your hair. Leaving a review Google or Yelp "The Beauty Project Salon", referring friends, or sharing your experience helps support our stylists and our mission-driven salon.
What is your cancellation policy?

That said, we do not want sick people in the salon. If you wake up unwell the day of your appointment, please contact your stylist directly so you can decide together what’s best. We’re always excited to connect with experienced stylists who align with our values. The Beauty Project Salon is not an entry-level space, it’s a place to bring your skills, voice, and lived experience. Learn more on our Employment page to see if we may be a good fit.
